With a goal from Ronaldo, Corinthians on Sunday qualified for the final in the Paulista championship.

Corinthians beat Sao Paulo FC 2-0 at the Morumbi Stadium and there by 4-1 on aggregate to set up a final against Santos FC.

Corinthians took the lead ten minutes after the break when Sao Paulo keeper Bosco saved a shot from Ronaldo and Douglas scored on the rebound. Two minutes later Ronaldo sealed the win, as he made Corinthians' second goal. He was substituted 18 minutes from time.

Corinthians last won the Paulista championship in 2003. The win over Sao Paulo was the 21st consecutive game for Corinthians without defeat.
