Ronaldo to wear No. 99 jersey

Starting from September next year Ronaldo will wear the no. 99 jersey to celebrate the 99th anniversary of Corinthians.

Ronaldo will start the next season by wearing the Corinthians number 9 jersey, which he has used for great part of his career.

Luis Paulo Rosenberg, the director of marketing at Corinthians, says that Ronaldo will also switch to the no.100 in 2010, to mark Corinthians' centenary year. But that will only happen if his contract is extended for a further year.

When playing for AC Milan Ronaldo also had number 99 on his back.
